theremins, acousmatics, improvisations & compositions

I have been actively pursuing electroacoustics (acousmatics) and assorted noise-making since I got my theremin way back in the last century. Originally, the music was created with loose groups of improvisors. I also started to make music for Mikko Kallinen's futuristic choreographies.
In the last few years I have also started to compose pieces inhabiting the musical territory sometimes called electro-acoustic and sometimes acousmatic. Below, I have listed various projects, compositions and performances that reflect the vague, yet somehow well-defined – and to some, sadly, unfamiliar – flavour of "You can dance to that?" A lot of this work has been conceptualized, if not actually made, at EMS in Stockholm.
Currently, I am performing a solo performance for theremin and voice, based around traditional songs. The title is Litany in Zero Kelvin and it is was premiered at the Frictions Performance Festival in Uppsala in June 2008.

Litanies in Zero Kelvin voice, theremin, electronics, improvisation, traditional songs. It's a bloody mess, but it's a live solo piece, and all is well that ends well...
